Spain has the oldest Marine Corps in the world, founded in 1537. Today an elite body that combines its traditions with very modern means.

The expeditionary force of the Spanish Marine Corps is the Tercio de Armada (TEAR), which is based in San Fernando (Cádiz) and is also known as the Marine Infantry Brigade (BRIMAR). Between November 14 and 30, the TEAR has developed the FTX BRIMAR 22 exercise at theNational Training Center (CENAD) of Chinchilla (Albacete).

Therehave gathered 1,140 Marines from all TEAR units: its two Desenmarco Battalions (BDE I andBDE II), the ThirdMechanized Battalion (BDMZ III), the Landing Artillery Group (GAD), the Amphibious Mobility Group (GRUMA), the Combat Service Support Group (GASC) and the BRIMAR General Staff. in addition to marines from theMar Océano Company of the Royal Guard, some officers of theMilitary Health Corps, SH-60F Seahawk helicopters of the5th Navy Squadronand Tiger attack helicopters of theAttack Helicopter Battalion No. 1of the Army.

The Navy today released four high-quality videos about the exercise. I have already commented that in the TEAR they have someone who is a phenomenon making videos, something that is confirmed by watching those published today. The first video shows the installation of the tents and the logistical tasks associated with the exercise, including feeding and distributing ammunition:

 

The second video showslightly armed shooting during this FTX exercise, including FN Minimi machine guns, H&K G-36E assault rifles and Accuracy International Arctic Warfare precision rifles.

Here you can see some screenshots of the videos. In this image we see the distribution of the ammunition, specifically a box with 200 rounds of .50 caliber (12.7×99 mm NATO), used by the Browning M-2 heavy machine guns that are mounted on the TEAR vehicles.
