콜롬비아해병대 National Navy opens call 'Be Marine'

After three months of service the infants will be transferred to any of the units nationwide either San Andres, Santa Marta, Barranquilla or Cartagena.

The National Navy summons all young people from Santa Marta and Magdalena over 18 and under 23 years and 11 months to perform their military service in the Naval Institution at no cost as Bachelor and Regular Marines.

Interested young people must present their original citizenship card or password. Bachelors must carry a copy of the diploma or degree certificate.

Second Petty Officer Andres Bustillo, head of the military service of the departments of Atlántico, Guajira, Cesar and Magdalena, indicated that he has the responsibility of incorporating young people who want to enter the Colombian Navy to define their military situation.


At the end of the call for incorporation they will announce the people who were selected to train as marines to Coveñas Sucre.

"On this occasion we have a very important invitation, especially for all the young people of Magdalena and Santa Marta. These young people will serve in the military for a period of one year those who are high school graduates and those who cannot also participate and their military service will be for 18 months. In our units we have the capacity for them to finish their baccalaureate," he said.

He then indicated, "young people who are high school graduates can take courses as technicians and technologists with the Seine, they will also have the opportunity to train as high school marines or regular marines."

According to Bustillos, the call will only be on January 26 at the Baseball Stadium Sports Complex, carrera 20 calle 20 - La Esperanza, from 7:00 a.m.

"We will be receiving those young people who wish to participate in this call. That day they will undergo a series of specialized medical examinations such as general medicine, dentistry and psychology, they must pass the three phases of this process that is free, the above, corresponds to the Colombian Navy. That same day they will be provided with lunch, dinner and refreshments," he added.
