아르헨티나 해병대 The Marine Infantry Battalion No. 5 Ec carried out a campaign to adapt to the southern mountain

io Grande – The Marine Infantry Battalion No. 5 Ec (BIM5) carried out the adaptation campaign in low mountain and southern mountain techniques, which is executed every year with the purpose of integrating and leveling the knowledge of the officers, non-commissioned officers and sailors volunteer troop recently incorporated into its ranks

It was carried out in the training grounds of the Argentine Navy in Aguas Blancas, head of Lake Fagnano, near the town of Tolhuin, with the support of the Combat Support Services Section of the Rio Grande Naval Detachment.

 

During the execution of the instructions, the field visit was received from the Commander of the Southern Marine Infantry Force, Captain IM Agustín Luis Pons, who together with the Commander of BIM5, Frigate Captain IM Guillermo Germán Pérez Dekker, supervised the scheduled activities.

This campaign is of fundamental importance to the unit, as the adaptation of staff to this particular geographical environment is vital for the fulfillment of its mission and to operate safely and effectively.
